Planned Parenthood attack ad

I like to cover the ads. I don't get to see them and neither do my neighbors, we live in a state considered safe, Washington. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the feeling that McCain gets all the coverage and runs all the ads. The national media loves to play McCain ads, even those with limited or non-existent ad buys.

But there are Obama ads and they play in battleground states. This one is from Planned Parenthood which is notable for a couple reasons.
  1. It is not from the Obama campaign. The 527s are loose now. Obama has backed off his stance that the 527s should not attack McCain. He can't coordinate directly but he signaled and Planned Parenthood and NARAL both heard that signal.
  2. It is a good ad and it paints McCain as the villain he is, an opportunistic villain who has a record of voting against children issues.

I am glad to see this ad, and hope to see more like it. Let loose the hounds of truth!
